About Us
Cryptic Languages
Cryptic Languages is a social enterprise that is based in Brampton, Canada, and it was a part of the WE Social Incubation Hub. The enterprise is founded by Ramandeep Saini, who created it to help more students, especially girls and those from underrepresented backgrounds, learn to code during the pandemic. She creates YouTube Tutorials regarding the web design languages HTML and CSS. Furthermore, she hosts coding webinars to encourage more children to learn to code. In the future, she hopes to host free coding workshops to encourage more students from marginalized communities to pursue careers in the technology field. The students that attend her workshops will be able to learn the basics of web development in four hours, and can continue to learn online using the tutorials on the Cryptic Languages YouTube Channel. Furthermore, they will be able to connect with a community of past workshop attendees, as well as mentors in the technology field using Slack. With this support, attendees will have a community to rely on whenever they have any questions about coding or technology. Her goal with Cryptic Languages is to foster STEM learning at a young age, no matter the socio-economic background or gender of the learner.
